December 2023 distribution update
Over £222 million in royalties paid out in December 2023
That's £22 million and 11% more than in December last year.
In the first distribution on 15 December, we’re paying out over £181 million, 17% more than this time last year.
Royalties from on-demand video services (GEOL), including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus, have increased by 30% and international royalties, including significant payments from international societies SACEM and ASCAP, have increased by 21%.
Live concerts from PRS members including Shania Twain, New Order, Little Mix, and Fred Again have supported a 16% boost in royalties from public performances.
A further £41 million in royalties from online streaming services (MTOL), including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, will be paid out on 22 December.
