Mary Epworth (pictured), Hannah Peel and Love Ssega are to perform at PRS Foundation’s inaugural Momentum Music Fund Day.

The event, which also features panel discussions and one-to-one advice for upcoming artists, takes place at Norwich Arts Centre on 2 September.

It brings together industry experts from all over the UK, including two of Momentum’s partners Arts Council England and PPL, to celebrate the success of the fund and also share knowledge and expertise with new talent.

PRS for Music will join the schedule with the How to: Make Your Music Pay panel, offering advice to songwriters and composers on the importance of locking down your business, and understanding and protecting your rights.

Panellists during the day include Stuart Belsham (PRS for Music), Sophie Little (BBC Introducing), Paul Burrows (Musician’s Union), Joe Frankland (PRS Foundation) and Sarah Jamieson (DIY Magazine).

More information about the free day discussion can be found here. Tickets to the evening performances cost £5, but entry is free to all those attending the daytime sessions.

Since 2013 the Momentum Music fund has supported over 190 artists, over 85 new albums and more than 100 UK tours, totalling over 650 UK live dates.

The recent impact report analysing the first three years of the fund revealed that every £1 invested, Momentum has generated £7.46 for the UK music industry.

The next deadline for applications to the fund is 15 August. For more info, and to apply, visit http://www.prsformusicfoundation.com/funding/momentum-music-fund/
