The Nonclassical record label and club night seeks innovative new artists for a series of compilation albums.

The new initiative, called The Verge, will feature and develop new artists and composers in the alt-classical scene.

If you’d like to be considered, you can submit three professionally recorded tracks in a SoundCloud playlist. Applicants are also asked to supply a short profile and image of themselves.

The deadline is 29 July and Nonclassical say no other submission format will be accepted.

Interested parties should email submissions@nonclassical.co.uk using the subject line The Verge Submission.

Nonclassical was founded by composer Gabriel Prokofiev in 2004. The club night has had residencies at venues such as Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, the Shacklewell Arms, The MacBeth and the Horse and Groom, as well as hosting one-offs at Kings Place, Cargo, XOYO and the Roundhouse.

Since 2011, Nonclassical offshoots have begun to flourish in Paris, Berlin and Southwest England, with one-off appearances also taking place at SXSW Festival and across the US.
