Loyle Carner, Clean Cut Kid and Girls Names are among the six acts chosen to play the PRS for Music showcase at the annual South by South West (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas.

Oscar, Declan McKenna and Get Inuit will also perform at the ‘Best of British’ event curated by BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens.

The showcase takes place on 15 March at Latitude 30, 512 San Jacinto, Austin, and forms part of a wider programme of activity from UK music organisations coming together under the British Music Embassy banner.

On 16 March, BBC Introducing and PRS for Music Foundation are hosting another showcase at the same venue, including Frances and The Sherlocks. In total, the Foundation is funding 14 British acts to attend this year’s SXSW including Jane Weaver and Shakka.

Now in its 30th year, SXSW will see no fewer than 2,220 acts, from the unsigned to the iconic, play across over 100 venues in just six days.
