He last hit the road as a duo with singer-songwriter wife Tracey Thorn back in 2000 as Everything But The Girl, and last toured solo in 1983 following a stint working with Robert Wyatt and Kevin Coyne.

The five-date UK tour kicks off on 11 November in Bristol and will showcase material from his new album, which is expected next spring.

Watt already dipped his toe in the water last month with two low-key sold-out nights in the basement of The Slaughtered Lamb, London. Current collaborator Bernard Butler pitched in on guitar and is also working on Watt’s new album.
