It's hard to believe that spritely indie imprint Transgressive Records is now 15 years old. But when you look through the back catalogue, which is crammed full of indie, electronic and out-there classics, it all starts to make sense…

Born out of founders Tim Dellow and Toby L’s deep love of independent music, and their anything-goes approach to both artists and the art of releasing records, they’ve carved a niche for themselves as one of the most unpredictable labels out there.

As the 15th birthday celebrations ramp up this autumn, we hand over the playlist reins to Toby, who shares some of his favourite cuts from over the years.

Dig in below for gems from SOPHIE (pictured above), Africa Express, Julia Jacklin, Foals and loads more...

KOKOKO! - Kitoko
A standout dance-banger from this phenomenal Kinshasa collective's debut album, Fongola.

Foals - Sunday
An oceanic dream-rave opus in two parts.

Flume feat. London Grammar - Let You Know
A heart-rending pop-ballad from two impeccable voices in modern music.

Two Door Cinema Club - Think
A psychy summer dream-waltz, arguably boasting one of the most infectious hooks of the year.

Blaenavon feat. Soko - No One Else in Mind
A wondrous, tender ode to new love.

Julien Chang - Butterflies from Monaco
Our latest signing. Originating from Baltimore, Chang weaves a unique and magical tapestry of texture and melody.

SOPHIE - Immaterial
Potentially the most euphoric, inclusive and uplifting song we've ever had the pleasure to be involved with.

Julia Jacklin - Body
The chilling yet beauteous opener and tone-setter to Jacklin's essential second album, Crushing.

Songhoy Blues - Time to Go Home
A brand new anthem from Mali's finest, featuring lyrics penned by Bonnie Prince Billy.

Alvvays - Dreams Tonite
One of the most romantic and sumptuous moments from the band's addictive LP, Antisocialites.

Graham Coxon - In the Morning
Less a song, more a journey, this eight-and-a-half minute acoustic gem is one of the most transportive listens in our entire catalogue.

Africa Express - Terry Riley's In C
Bit of a cheat, since this is technically a full album in a single sitting - a riveting interpretation of Terry Riley's ageless classic.

Neon Indian - Annie
Alan Palomo's catchiest production yet, this is an absolute dancefloor-filler.

Marika Hackman - I'm Not Where You Are
Taken from her latest album, Any Human Friend, Hackman continues to ascend to giddy new heights both lyrically and musically.

Benny Mails - Marathon
Alternative rap mastery, Mails is the greatest young poet in the game right now.
