To celebrate this week’s announcement of the BBC’s Sound of 2020 poll toppers, we have dedicated this week’s playlist to the 10 longlisted artists.

While the LA-born soul singer Celeste joins artists like Adele, Jessie J and Ellie Goulding in topping the BBC’s annual poll, the longlist features a wealth of hotly tipped talent.

Before being crowned No. 2 in the BBC Sound of 2020 poll, Leicester’s Easy Life played the July edition of PRS Presents alongside Libra Libra and Snapped Ankles and wooed the crowd with their distinctive mix of jazz, reggae, hip hop, indie and a whole lot more in between.

Meanwhile third place went to Yungblud who’s punk-pop hip hop hybrid has been provoking strong reactions across the board and his collaborations with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker have found him international success.

Further down the list soul-singer Joy Crookes and joins indie band Inhaler (who’s lead vocalist Elijah Hewson is the son of U2’s Bono, no less) in fourth and fifth place respectively.

We’ve also included the rest of the longlist, lest you miss out of gems from Arlo Parks, Georgia and Squid.
