Free songwriter session: royalties and publishing

A free session aimed at demystifying music publishing and helping songwriters identify revenue streams will take place in Sunderland on 17 May. Attendees will get the opportunity to learn from the expert knowledge and experiences of guest speakers. Apply here.

Compact: Music Publishing and Monetising Songwriting has been arranged by north east music development agency Generator, and will take place on Thursday 17 May from 9.30am until 4.30pm.

Attendees will get the opportunity to learn from the expert knowledge and experiences of guest speakers Stuart Fleming from PRS for Music and Ian Straker, who runs north east publishing company Kahua Music.

Main topics include the music publishing business and infrastructure, how to generate income from your repertoire and earning royalties from playing live.
