The Back to Live Music Venue Prize has landed

Independent live music venues around the UK have the chance to win £10,000.

The Back to Live, Music Venue Prize is a PRS competition which will see the best independent music venues across the UK shortlisted to win a prize of £10,000 to support their venue, after what has been a difficult time for the industry.

There are six regional competitions where venues from each region have the chance to win the £10,000 to help that venue keep putting on great shows.

Part of the ‘On with the Show’ initiative, it’s all about championing the venues which make the UK music scene what it is, one of the best in the world.

The competition launched in the South and East of England, as well as London on Wednesday 18 May and closes Wednesday 20 July.

Venues in Scotland and Northern Ireland can enter until Thursday 23 June.

To be eligible to enter the Back to Live, Music Venue Prize, the venue must:

  • Not be part of a national brand
  • Host over 100 days of live music (excluding restrictions imposed by Covid)
  • Have music at the core of the venue’s offering

After the judging panel has reviewed the entries, a shortlist from each region will be put forward to be visited by the judges with the winners announced at dedicated events later in the year.

The competition launches for venues in other parts of the UK soon, so watch this space for more details.

If you know of any great independent live music venues in these areas, encourage them to enter below.

We look forward to receiving the entries!
