Want to find out how performing, sync and mechanical rights work? Attend the Inside Music Publishing session from YGN and PRS for Music to get the lowdown.

Whether you’re a songwriter or producer, in a band or managing one, or launching your own music company, a good understanding of every facet of the music business is key to a long-term career in the industry.

This new event will look at music publishing: how new publishing companies are set up, as well as how performing, sync and mechanical rights are managed.

Expert panellists from across the industry will share inside knowledge, discuss how their roles fit into the wider music ecosystem, and offer practical advice on indie and major music publishing to the YGN audience.

The evening will also offer the opportunity to network afterwards, giving attendees the chance to build new relationships, meet potential collaborators and ask further questions.

Speakers include Paulette Long OBE, who has over 32 years’ experience in publishing and artist management, Henry Marsden of Bespoke Records and Jataneel Banerjee, membership development and outreach manager at PRS for Music.

The event takes place on 28 November between 6:30pm and 9:00pm at The Gallery, Tileyard Studios, Tileyard Road, Kings Cross, London. Note the venue change from The Ministry, 79-81 Borough Rd, London.
