Apply to PRS Foundation’s Flash Funding scheme for your chance to get your music pressed to vinyl.

The programme launches today (30 April), with a deadline of 4 May, and is open to any independent artists and bands based in the UK who are writing and performing exceptional music.

Successful applicants will receive 500 12-inch records, worth over £1,500, plus release strategy mentoring and ongoing promotional support.

Flash Funding partners this year include Key Production Group, plus Music Glue and Metropolis Studios, who will be on-hand to offer tailored advice to successful applicants.

Priority will be given to PRS for Music members whose career is at a crucial tipping point and who are most ready to release their music.

A longlist will be whittled down to just 10 applications, which will be taken along to PRS Foundation’s Live Flash Funding Panel at The Great Escape on 18 May.

There, panellists including artist Nadine Shah, CTRL Management’s Nadia Khan and Julie Weir from Music For Nations/Sony will select the winners.

Previous successful applicants have included Vulgarians, Robocobra Quartet and Pictish Trail.
