UK Music Video Awards 2017 shortlisters revealed

Loyle Carner, Mercury Prize-winning Sampha, Ray BLK and Mura Masa are among the acts nominated for the 2017 awards ceremony.

They are all shortlisted in the Best Urban Video category, supported by PPL, alongside Rag N Bone Man and Tinie Tempah.

Elsewhere, Bonobo gets two nominations for Kerala and No Reason in the Best Dance Video category, while Radiohead, All We Are, Coldplay, Kasabian, Mick Jagger and Royal Blood go head-to-head in the Best Rock/Indie Video category.

Beyond the Wizard’s Sleeve, Ghostpoet, Cathedrals, Oscar Worldpeace and Poppy Ajudha are all tipped in the Newcomer categories.

A selection of the shortlisted videos will be screened at the War Child Film Festival on 29 September, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to the charity.

The UK Music Video Awards takes place at the Roundhouse, London, on 26 October.
