The apprenticeships will cover three important areas: music studio production, music product assistant and music instrument technician, with an aim to launch them fully in the summer.
UK Music has been a strong advocate of apprenticeships for many years and is working with creative trade bodies to make sure that these opportunities are as useful to the music industry as possible.
Oliver Morris, director of education and skills, UK Music, says: ‘We are genuinely excited by these three new apprenticeships. if you have any questions or feel they may be something you would like to feed into please feel free to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org.’
UK Music will be consulting widely on these over next few months before launching to ensure all views have been heard and they are as useful to the music industry as possible.
