The next Buzz Jam event will bring artists including Tiggs Da Author (above) together with coders to build five new musical instruments.

For three days in September, collaborative music and tech event Buzz Jam will return, bringing five music artists and coders together under one roof.

The participating teams will use the time to create a new musical instrument, ultimately culminating in a performance.

Sony Music artists Tiggs Da Author, Nimmo and Tom Walker will be placed in the heart of the coders' world for the event, which aims to demonstrate skill, creativity and the synergies between the two groups.

The event takes place from 16 to 18 September at Red Bull Studios, London Bridge. For more info, see http://www.buzz-jam.com/

In previous years the collaborations have yielded a chiptune keytar made from two Game Boys, two Guitar Hero necks and a wireless midi keyboard, motion-triggered sound boards and wearable tech drum kits.

Buzz Jam is presented by Young Guns Network (YGN), and is a partnership with Sony Music, We Make Awesome Sh, Weller Media Agency and Red Bull Studios.
