The annual Ivors Academy Gold Badge ceremony will take place on 11 October to acknowledge exceptional talent in the UK music industry, and is sponsored by PRS for Music and PPL.

The award was created in 1974 to recognise individuals who support creativity in all its musical forms and provide a unique opportunity for the music community to celebrate those individuals who support the music industry.

The recipients of this year’s Gold Badges, and host will be announced on the Ivors Academy’s website in September.

Last year Squeeze co-founder Chris Difford and Elbow frontman Guy Garvey were among those honoured by the Ivors Academy.

The event takes place at the Savoy in London between 11:30 and 16:30 and tickets include an exclusive drinks reception at the Savoy’s River Room overlooking the Thames, followed by a three-course lunch and presentation ceremony in the ballroom.

Tickets are on sale now and available to purchase here. The Ivors Academy Standard and Academy members are eligible for a special discounted ticket rate.
