Mystery Jets, Mura Masa and Shura are among the first wave of acts announced for The Great Escape 2016.

Taking place 19-21 May 2016 in Brighton, the event will be celebrating its 11th year, taking over more than 30 venues and hosting more than 450 acts.

Among the other acts confirmed include Oh Wonder, headliners of the first Spotlight Show at All Saints Church and the Mystery Jets who will be marking the release of their 2016 LP Curve Of The Earth.

The Great Escape Convention will also run alongside the live music, with the CMU Insights team presenting four separate conference themes over each day - this year’s strands Data! Transparency! Blockchain! Let’s Make Buzzwords Happen!; Who The Hell Is Still Buying CDs?; What If YouTube Actually Is The Future? and What Has The Music Industry Ever Done For You?

Kevin Moore, TGE event manager, said: Over 10 glorious years, TGE has gone from strength to strength, breaking the hottest new bands and providing a monumental platform for emerging artists.

‘2016 is a big year; we’re so excited to come back full throttle, launching a new website as well as a bold new brand to create a fresh face for TGE; we wanted to find a connection to the place, the people, the music and the importance of the event.’
