Classic synth-pop duo OMD will celebrate the release of their 12th studio album English Electric with a free US performance which will be streamed live to fans in the UK.

Audiences can watch the gig at The Bing Bar in Portland from 8pm British time through http://www.alphabroadcasting.com/binglive. A free app from Ustream, available here, will also allow fans to watch the event on their smart phones.

Today, the duo unleashed their third and final video animation to accompany the album. The video was created by Henning M. Lederer for album opener Please Remain Seated, and you can watch it below.

OMD’s Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys first began making electronic music together as teenagers in the late seventies. Inspired by Kraftwerk and Brian Eno, they built their own synthesisers and began playing live around the north west of England.

They released their first single Electricity through Factory Records in 1979, before signing to major label imprint Dindisc and selling 40 million record worldwide.
