BIMM Group, Kobalt Music, Polar Patrol Publishing and Raygun Music are presenting the Songs by the Sea Sessions, a new songwriting bootcamp in Brighton.

Taking place 16-17 September at Brighton’s Electric Studios, the event will invite BIMM students and alumni to work to briefs with published writers including Luke Sital Singh, Paul Steel, Gary Nock and Gita Langley.

The first day of the bootcamp will conclude with a Q&A with Ivor Novello Award winning songwriter Iain Archer, a writer for the likes of Jake Bugg, Nina Nesbitt and Example.

Suzi Ireland, Artist Promotion and Festival manager, said: ‘BIMM are delighted to be partnering with Polar Patrol and Raygun to host a very special songwriting camp.

‘Current students and carefully selected BIMM alumni have been invited to take part in the camp and will be writing songs for their own catalogue as well as to professional commercial briefs with some of the hottest professional songwriters out there.’

The event will begin in Brighton but is expected to be introduced to cities across the UK, Ireland and Europe at the BIMM Group’s newest college, BIMM Berlin.
