Are you a young folk instrumentalist aged between 14 and 18? Do you fancy taking part in a free sampler day of folk music workshops? Read on to find out how to register for the National Youth Folk Ensemble's sampler day...

The National Youth Folk Ensemble is an English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) programme that celebrates youth folk music, bringing together folk musicians from across England to create and perform inspiring new arrangements and work with leading folk artists.

Each sampler day features music workshops with Sam Sweeney, Rob Harbron and Miranda Rutter, plus a Q&A with ensemble staff.

If you'd like to apply for the ensemble, there will also be the opportunity on the sampler day to start the audition process. The ensemble includes four weeks of intensive courses, tuition from leading folk musicians and performances at festivals and venues around England.

To apply to attend a sampler day, see below for all dates and visit the EFDSS website to register your place.
