Radio 6 Music celebrates anniversary with gigs

Alternative digital radio station, BBC Radio 6 Music celebrates its tenth anniversary with a series of live shows in March.

Alternative digital radio station, BBC Radio 6 Music celebrates its tenth anniversary with a week of live music in March.

Presenter Lauren Laverne will take up residency at Maida Vale studios for one week between Monday 12 to Friday 16 March and hosting live sets from the likes of Orbital and Spiritualized.

In addition, there will be a party at the Southbank Centre in London on Friday 16 March with Laura Marling, Anna Calvi, Gruff Rhys, Lianne La Havas and Beth Jeans Houghton taking to the stage.

The much-loved radio station was launched on 11 March 2002.
