Portishead's Geoff Barrow and BBC composer Ben Salisbury have teamed up to create an album inspired by cult comic hero Judge Dredd.

The project, Music inspired by Mega City One under the alias of DROKK is based on the 2000 AD comic's tough but fair cop and the seething metropolis he polices.

The music has been described as 'pulsating, (John) Carpenter-esque electronics' and extensively features the Oberheim two-voice synthesizer.

The album is scheduled for an April release.
