Pianos on the streets

For three weeks between June 22 – July 10, 21 brightly decorated pianos have been placed throughout the ‘square mile’ of London to help celebrate the City of London Festival.

For three weeks between June 22 – July 10, 21 brightly decorated pianos have been placed throughout the ‘square mile’ of London to help celebrate the City of London Festival.

The street pianos are Located in public gardens, streets and squares for anyone to play on and enjoy.

The street pianos are a work by artist Luke Jerram called Play Me, I’m Yours. In addition to London, pianos will be placed simultaneously in New York and between July 1 - 4 the piano at the Millenium Bridge in the capital will be connected live to a piano in the Big Apple's Times Square.
