Noah and the Whale will headline an intimate gig at this year’s Sound City festival in Liverpool.
The band will perform at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral as part of the event, which runs in the city from 2-4 May.
Noah and the Whale are due to release their fourth album Heart of Nowhere in the same month and are expected to showcase these new songs at the show.
The group lead the latest wave of acts to be announced on the line up for Sound City. Other additions include Everything Everything, Stealing Sheep and Dutch Uncles.
Sound City also features a convention with the great and the good from the music industry coming together to discuss current hot topics.
Andrew Loog Oldham, Rolling Stones manager and former PR man for The Beatles, will give a keynote address while photographer Ian Tilton will be hosting an exhibition of Stone Roses photos, some of which have never been seen before.
Tracy Thorn, rock band Enter Shikari and Murph from the Wombats will also host sessions offering their advice on how to survive a career in the music industry.
Sound City is a key event in the calendar of the UK’s music business with 360 artists performing over its three days.
Last year saw the likes of Mercury Music Prize winners Alt-J and Django Django play gigs ahead of the release of their critically and commercially acclaimed albums.
