This year's Queen's birthday honours list has included a number of leading figures from the music industry.

This year's Queen's birthday honours list has included a number of leading figures from the music industry.

The list includes Take That lead singer Gary Barlow who receives an OBE, just weeks after curating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. Richard Stilgoe, who wrote lyrics for the Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals Starlight Express and The Phantom of the Opera as well as writing music for TV programmes That's Life and Nationwide, receives a knighthood.  Soul singer and songwriter Omar is among the MBE recipients.
