The event will bring together thought leaders, including Raoul Chatterjee (7Digital), Will Page (Spotify), Peter Bradbury (Sky) and Kim Bayley (ERA), to discuss current IP issues facing the music and music tech industries.

The seminar will be hosted against a backdrop of change for IP and music licensing, as the European Commission examines the wider EU copyright legislative framework.

Closer to home, Music 4.5 points to an increasing number of bespoke music creation companies for film, TV, games and entertainment, which bypass the need for synchronisation licensing of existing catalogue.

Meanewhile, new publishers are investing in and monetising music rights in new ways and through innovative partnerships with broadcasters and brands.

This seminar will explore some of these advances, putting them into context of the wider music industry.

Music 4.5: IP & Licensing – A brave new era in online music licensing takes place on 25 June from 2pm to 6pm at 5 Chancery Lane, Clifford's Inn, London, EC4A 1BL.
