The Music Publishers Association (MPA) is hosting a specialist seminar on sub-publishing.


Taking place in London on 23 May, the Sub-publishing, Global Licensing and the Changing International Landscape seminar will see a range of industry experts discuss global licensing and the challenges and opportunities facing the world of sub-publishing.

MPA chief executive officer Jane Dyball will act as moderator at the event, which will include a series of presentations, debates and panel discussions. The sessions include Developing Markets & International Societies, Global licensing - Threat or Opportunity? and Debating Their Merits: The Role of International Organisations BIEM, CISAC and GESAC.

Other speakers include Paul Brindley (Music Ally) and Annette Barrett (managing director, Reverb Music), Christian Baierle (owner, Roba Music, Germany), Andrei Filip (GM, K9 Music Publishing, Romania) and Ian James (MD, Mushroom Music, Australia) along with Ben McEwen (commercial director of ICE Licensing) and Jez Bell (chief licensing officer, PPL).
