The leading international music industry event has evolved its Artist Accelerator programme into the Midem Talent Exporter for the global expansion of talent.

Following five years of success with the Artist Accelerator, Midem is reinventing its guidance from a mentorship programme to a business approach.

The Midem Talent Exporter is set to spotlight 22 international emerging artists, who will be selected through a free and open-to-all call for entries.

The programme will then connect the artists with international talent buyers, including agents, promoters, festivals, media, PR, curators, music editors and A&Rs.

The artists will then be assigned 10 music supervisors to build concrete business partnerships.

The Talent Exporter will give the chosen acts the opportunity to meet talent buyers and music supervisors from around the world and will also offer learning, networking and discovering solutions.

Subsequently, the programme will also offer candidates privileged access to special programmes, such as the songwriting camp and exclusive workshops organised by leading music industry brand like Spotify.

The Talent Exporter is open to artists/bands, managers, publishers, labels, agents and promoters globally who would like to submit an artist/band for the programme.

Candidates must be export-ready, present original music creation, have a dedicated team of at least one person, have a minimum of five professional performances booked between 2019 and 2020, demonstratable media coverage and social media presence and have a career development strategy.

The call for entries is now open and closes on 1 March 2020. In mid-March the initial selection will take place and mid-April will mark the second round of selection.
