Matt Clifford, the longtime musical collaborator of Sir Mick Jagger and touring keyboard player with The Rolling Stones, has signed a deal with Warner/Chappell Music.

Clifford (pictured, right, with Warner/Chappell managing director, Mike Smith) has worked with the iconic band since 1989 when he played on the Steel Wheels album and subsequent world tour.

Since then, he's co-written and produced for Jagger on albums including Goddess In The Doorway and the recent singles England Lost and Gotta Get A Grip.

Clifford said: 'It’s fantastic to be working with Mike Smith and the team at Warner/Chappell. I know that they’ll be able to support me in all my various projects, from my exciting work with Mick and the Stones to my composing of film and TV soundtracks.'

Smith described Clifford as 'an incredibly versatile songwriter,' adding: 'While he’s well known for his collaborations with Sir Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones, he also writes incredible soundtracks for film and TV.

'I’m so delighted that he’s choosing to work with us at Warner/Chappell.'

Alongside his work with The Rolling Stones, Clifford has worked on many sports events including arranging and producing the music for the UEFA Champions League.

He's also co-written, performed and produced with the likes of Brad Paisley, Jon Anderson, Francoise Hardy and Richard Ashcroft, while his movie soundtracks include The Return of the Living Dead and The Basket Case.
