Milly Allen (CODA agency), Kaiya Milan (Off Balance) and Noah Ball (Outlook Festivals) will be joining CMU’s Chris Cooke at a seminar hosted by Urban Development (UD) to explore how new artists can get gigs.

Taking place at Red Bull Studios on 16 May, the event will explore the best ways to get gigs and grow an audience through your live outings.

Topics will include how to get a show or on a festival line up, promote your own gig, discover how to get paid to perform and find out how to source a booking agent.

Commenting on the event, Alex Mann from The Musician's Union told UD: 'It's true that the grassroots circuit is hardly financially lucrative for many new bands, but it’s supposed to be a platform for emerging artists to hone their craft in writing and performing, build their audience and show their worth.

'The one thing that never changes in the entertainment industry is the essential relationship between the artist and the audience.'
