PRS Foundation and Music:Leeds / Music Local’s Launchpad have announced a joint Talent Development Conference in 2023. Leeds Beckett University, a Principal Education Partner of LEEDS 2023, will host the event on Friday 24 February. Tickets are available now, free or on a pay as you feel basis.

Open to everyone involved in music at any level and hoping to gain a better understanding of the music industry, the day-long event will feature a mix of panel discussions and In Conversations from leading experts and professionals. The events will cover a range of subjects impacting talent development for music creators, the music industry and scenes across the country and beyond.

Additionally, there will be 1-2-1 sessions and opportunities for networking with music industry professionals.

Joe Frankland, CEO, PRS Foundation, says, 'We’re delighted to be partnering with Music:Leeds / Music Local’s Launchpad to combine each of our conferences into one event in Leeds in 2023. Each year the Talent Development Conference is a fantastic opportunity for music creators and those on the front line of talent development to come together, network and discuss the big topics and challenges facing the industry. We’re very much looking forward to seeing everyone there and excited to be holding this event in Leeds during its highly anticipated Year of Culture.'

Samuel Nicholls, Director, Music:Leeds / Music Local and Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University’s Leeds School of Arts, says, 'Having worked closely with PRS Foundation over the last few years, it's brilliant to be able to join our Launchpad Conference with their Talent Development Conference in the context of LEEDS 2023, the city's year of culture celebration.'

'The conference will be a fantastic opportunity for those working or aspiring to work at all levels of the music sector to come together, learn and share experience on building an equitable and successful national and regional music sector. Widening this partnership by bringing the conference to Leeds Beckett University will offer great opportunities to our students, who are already working to make an impact in the music industry with the expert support they benefit from at Leeds School of Arts.'

Registration for the conference is now available via EventBrite.
