Blind Mic, Nutribe and Aaliyah Esprit are among the nine acts chosen to receive funding in the latest round of the Future Bubblers bursary.
The youth music talent discovery and development project was founded by Gilles Peterson and Brownswood music to support independent artists, and looks to seek out and assist 'some of the freshest and most innovative music makers from across England.'
Recipients are awarded a grant of up to £1,000 to develop their careers and will also receive support, mentorship, advice and opportunities.
Other artists to be included are Slvshthree, Wilroy, Kayla Painter, Shunaji, Shredy and Sydney.
Independent charity Help Musicians UK (HMUK) has partnered with the scheme for the third year, and will also offer Future Bubblers alumni additional funding opportunities to develop their careers and craft even further.
Amy Frencham of Future Bubblers said: 'Our partnership with Help Musicians UK has been an incredibly magical addition to the opportunities we are able to offer out to the artists we are developing through the Future Bubblers scheme.
'This is often the financial stepping stone that means these artists are able to release their first ever 12”, promote and perform at their first ever headline show and generally to start building sustainable and resilient careers as artists.
'It’s so valuable that an organisation such as Help Musicians are recognising and actively supporting these brave, innovative music makers. It’s really making a difference in the power of their next moves. The addition of the Alumni grants is just testament to how invested the team at Help Musicians UK are in encouraging and uplifting left field genre-blurring talent - it’s perfectly aligned with the Future Bubblers outlook.'
