Jimmy Napes has been named as SESAC’s Songwriter of the Year at the organisation’s 20th annual pop awards.
Taking place on Monday 18 April at Cipriani 42nd Street on Monday 18 April, the Disclosure and Sam Smith collaborator was named as Songwriter of the Year as well as receiving the award for Song of the Year for writing Sam Smith’s I’m Not The Only One.
Previously, Jimmy also won the same accolade in 2015 as well as the Song of the Year prize for another Sam Smith hit, Stay With Me.
In addition to his string of radio successes, both Jimmy and Sam recently won an Academy Award for best original song for Writing’s On The Wall from the James Bond film Spectre.
Universal Tunes was also named Publisher of the Year at the event in New York.
