The newly launched JazzUK is hold its first ever #4Jazz Festival in Coventry with the likes of Julian Arguelles and Courtney Pine performing.

Taking place 27-28 November at various venues across the city, the event has been set up to launch JazzUK, formerly known as Jazz Services.

Other acts on the bill include Arun Ghosh’s Sextet, Black Top with Cleveland Watkiss, Budapest Café Orchestra, Christine Tobin’s Thousand Kisses Deep and the Jazz Undead.

The learning and participation project Dissolve JazzLab, a new collaboration with Coventry Performing Arts Service, will also take place aiming to dissolve barriers, embrace cultural diversity and inclusivity through musical improvisation and experimentation.

Having failed to regain NPO status last year, Jazz Services decided to restructure and relaunch this year. The festival is a new branch of the services, which also includes education and outreach, technology and apps for audience participation, and the inclusion of all types of jazz.

Visit the JazzUK website to find out more about the forthcoming event and the list of performers.
