Hozier and Ed Sheeran among 2015’s most streamed acts

Hozier and Ed Sheeran are among some of the most streamed artists of 2015, according to Official Charts Company (OCC) data.

Hozier and Ed Sheeran are among some of the most streamed artists of 2015, according to Official Charts Company (OCC) data.

The OCC published the official top 40 of 2015’s most streamed songs with Mark Ronson FT Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk at the top of the list.

According to the statistics, the song has attracted over 45m streams in the first half of the year across music services such as Spotify and Deezer.

Hozier's Take Me To Church is currently the third most streamed song of 2015 so far. This year alone the track has notched up 37.5m streams (50.8m overall). The song received the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically earlier in 2015.

Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud continues to prove popular well into 2015 after seeing release last year. The ballad is currently the fourth most streamed song of the year with 32.6m streams (60.1m overall).
