Glass Animals, the Amazing Snakeheads and Clean Bandit are among the final wave of acts confirmed for this year’s Great Escape festival.

The event, which takes place 8-10 May 2014, will see a whole host of bands and music industry professionals descend on Brighton for three days of discussion, networking and live music.

UK rapper Example will headline the opening night of events on 8 May at the Brighton Dome with Wild Beasts and These New Puritans performing the following evening. US R&B star Kelis will play the venue on Saturday 10 May.

Telegram, East India Youth, Little Dragon and Gorgon City are among the 400 plus acts also confirmed on the bill.

Kat Morris, festival director, said: ‘We are so excited to complete this year’s line-up. Since its inception nine years ago, we have always maintained that the foremost objective of the festival is to produce an internationally-reaching programme that is genuinely representative of the full spectrum of emerging talent in music.

‘I think we’ve achieved that. There is so much incredible talent out there, we are honoured to showcase as much of it as we can at the Great Escape. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the festival in May!”
