Obaro Ejimiwe, aka Ghostpoet, has signed to Ninja Tune-affiliated publishing house Just Isn’t Music.
The singer, songwriter and electronic musician, who was twice nominated for the Mercury Prize, has just released his lauded fourth album Dark Days & Canapés via PIAS.
Last year saw him join Just Isn’t Music acts Roots Manuva, Young Fathers and Forest Swords in collaborating with Massive Attack on their first new music in almost six years.
He’s also received development support from the PRS Foundation and performed at a PRS for Music Presents showcase at the organisation’s Streatham offices.
Just isn’t Music’s Martin Dobson said: 'Ninja Tune and Just Isn’t Music have been fans of Ghostpoet for years now and finally we get to officially work with him on the publishing side of things - Obaro’s songwriting has always been so intensely original and uniquely British, yet Dark Days & Canapés feels like his most inspired work to date.
