A new Top 100 reflecting the growing interest in streaming services will be compiled by The Official Charts Company from data supplied by he nation’s leading streaming services - including Spotify, Deezer, Napster, We7, Zune (XBox Live) and new mobile phone start-up ChartsNow.
Ed Sheeran is revealed to be the most streamed artist of the year so far (up to the end of April). His songs Drunk, Lego House and The A Team are among the 20 most-streamed tracks of 2012 to date.
Other British artists joining Sheeran in the top 20 most-streamed artists chart are Coldplay, Emeli Sandé, Jessie J, Florence and the Machine, Adele, Ben Howard, Rizzle Kicks, Olly Murs and One Direction.
