Concord Recorded Music has announced the hire of Fred Gillham to the post of managing director, UK.

He will oversee operations at the newly opened Concord office in London, which will be the independent music organisation’s first international hub for artists and labels outside the US.

Gillham will lead Concord’s artist development and marketing strategies for its labels in the UK, which includes releases under Fantasy, Concord Records, Fearless Records, Loma Vista Recordings and Rounder Records.

He will also contribute to the UK expansion of Concord Recorded Music’s catalogue label Craft Recordings and the advancement of the KIDZ BOP brand.

Gillham said: ‘I’ve had the privilege to work closely with the Concord Recorded Music team for a number of years and I couldn’t be more excited to be joining them.

‘The diverse roster across the five frontline labels, the incredible catalogue under Craft Recordings as well as KIDZ BOP deserve a UK home to match. That is what we want to be, a place that has their best interests at heart, where we can help develop artists’ careers, drive innovative campaigns, seek out opportunities and increase discovery for fans in the UK.’

Concord Recorded Music is comprised of five labels; Concord Records, Fantasy Records, Fearless Records, Loma Vista Recordings and Rounder Records.

Concord Music Publishing represents more than 390,000 copyright works spanning all musical genres, including the Boosey & Hawkes and Rodgers & Hammerstein catalogues.
