A Beatles tribute show featuring some of the Fab Four's classic hits - the first time a theatrical show has been given permission to use the band's catalogue - will hit the West End this year.

Let It Be opens at London's Prince of Wales Theatre in September to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles' debut single Love Me Do.

The Beatle's story will be told using a mixture of film footage and live performance featuring songs including A Hard Day’s Night, Day Tripper, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Strawberry Fields Forever.

The production will run from 24 September 2012 to 19 January 2013.
