The award-winning Point Blank music training school, which specialises in music production, sound engineering and DJing, is launching its new online ‘Ableton Live – Production’ course on 30 May 2011.

This intense experience aims to transform you into an expert producer in just eight weeks, using the intuitive software Ableton Live, which has revolutionised the music-making process.

Point Blank provides a comprehensive lowdown on how to use the tools in Ableton Live to maximum effect, covering every aspect of music production, from MIDI programming to getting to grips with EQ,s ounds and mastering.

The course includes a minimum of 480 minutes of video, 8 x DVR™ (one-to-one video feedback), eight hours of live masterclasses, one year’s access to course materials, over 160 pages of course notes, 24/7 access to the forum and exclusive audio resources to download.

Students are also offered the chance (as an optional extra) to sign their track to Point Blank Music, which is distributed by iTunes, beatport, Juno Download and  Amazon among others.

The course tutor is Jonny Miller, who has experience in drum n bass, broken beat, disco and dubstep, has worked with garage producer Zed Bias and also penned his own tracks under the Joshua Black moniker.

Students are invited to take part in a weekly masterclass with Jonny, and upload their weekly assignments for individual analysis and video feedback.
