The Innovation Network of European Showcases (INES) is now taking applications for its talent programme to offer bands and artists from participating countries the chance play at overseas festivals and showcases.
INES is a European project in partnership with 8 international showcase festivals and gigmit, the European digital platform for artist booking.
Each INES#festival nominates between three to 10 promising acts from their own country into the INES#talent pool.
The following year all the festivals book acts from the talent pool, and the participating UK festivals are Liverpool Sound City and Focus Wales.
International festivals include, MENT (Slovenia), c/o Pop Festival and Convention (Germany), Westway LAB (Portugal) and Linecheck (Italy).
Overall, the 19 INES#fetsival will offer 125 slots to artists in the INES#talent pool.
Each act that is booked for a festival will receive a minimum €250 fee, accommodation, festival passes and one conference ticket, plus catering.
The deadline for application is 27 August 2019 and the successful applicants will be announced in October 2019.
If applicants are selected their talent status begins in January 2020 and is valid for two years.
