Over an intensive five days at Metropolis Studios in West London, songwriters from Bucks Music/BDi and Peermusic were set briefs from A&Rs and managers looking for standout material for their priority artists.

The outcome was 25 original songs, created with specific acts in mind, including The Saturdays, Misha B, Charlie Brown and Josh Kumra.

We will be tracking the songs over the coming weeks and months to find out which make it from song camp to singles chart.

In the meantime, we caught up with songwriters Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Marti Pellow), Luke Juby and Ollie Green (Clement Marfo, Olly Barnes) pictured left, to get a behind-the-scenes look at how song camps work.

Hear them talk through the process, from receiving the brief to meeting new songwriters and collaborating to finish a song a day.
