Mina Tindle is a Parisian-born folk and new-wave singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who exudes the sophisticated charm of a vintage continental chanteuse.

First making her vocal mark on The National’s acclaimed 2007 album Boxer, she’s since created two inimitable longplayers of her own.

Mina’s first effort – 2012’s Taranta - attracted international plaudits from US and UK tastemakers for its breezy melodies and charmingly clever pop.

Meanwhile her follow-up Parades, which drops next week, doesn’t disappoint either.

Serving up lashings of sonic goodness, the album layers clapped out synths and drum machines with no-fuss new-wave basslines to provide a languid backdrop to Mina’s artful lyrics.

We were lucky enough to catch Mina (aka Paulina de Lassus) with her co-producer and live cohort Olivier Marguerit at The Grafton, Kentish Town, for an intimate live session.

Watch them perform new album track A Seville below.

Watch them perform Ta Peau from the same session.

Parades is released on 6 October through Believe Recordings.
