Over the last 12 months, sherbet trio Dream Wife have been exercising their addictive sugar-rush scuzz and high jinx all across the UK.

Wrapping influences like Debbie Harry, Grimes and Sleater-Kinny into their perfect pop package, Rakel, Alice and Bella have yielded a super-tight take on nineties alt-rock that’s won fans far and wide.

It's a recipe that has seen the art school grads steadily morph from exhibition confection into contagious buzz band, and as 2017 broke they were easily one of the most hotly-tipped new acts in the UK.

With live theatrics that slay all those who stand in their path, we were tickled pink to learn they’ve received support from the PRS Foundation’s International Showcase Fund to attend the legendary SXSW festival next month.

We recently caught up with the girls for the first in our Road to SXSW series, in association with DIY and PRS Foundation, to learn what they've got in store…

Texas watch out!
