Scottish composer Anna Meredith is one of a kind. A master of both the acoustic and electronic craft, her music covers all bases and challenges all who hear it.

The former M magazine cover star is one of a select few artists to have been aired across virtually the whole gamut of BBC radio, from stations 1 and 6 Music to Radios 3 and 4. She's also worked with everyone from The Stranglers, Laura Marling and Shlomo to the National Youth Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Later this year she will spread her net even wider, traveling to China for PRS for Music Foundation’s Musicians in Residence programme where she will spend six weeks working with local musicians and artists before creating a location-based tour guide and album.

But before that, Anna supports acclaimed Domino Records singer songwriter Anna Calvi on her six-date tour, which kicks off on 1 February at Dublin’s Vicar Street venue.

To get a taster of what lucky audiences can expect, watch her perform Bubble Gun live at the M magazine 50th issue party:

Part one, featuring the track Orlok, is available here.
