Andreya Triana’s soulful songwriting has attracted esteemed collaborators of all musical hues, from Ninja Tune staples Mr Scruff and Bonobo to edgy LA producer Flying Lotus.

All have been captivated by her raw vocal style and bare bones lyrical honesty, which channels the folksy, rootsy heritage of American soul.

A unique vocalist, Andreya began singing at the tender age of seven, taking influence from the sights and sounds of her inner city London home.

Her early love and passion for music would see her locked in her bedroom for hours on end writing poetry, making homemade mixtapes and recording tracks, using two battered cassette decks to record harmonies.

Fast forward to 2014 and Andreya has been working hard on her new record, while a remix of her track Everything You Never Had by Breach found its way into the top 10.

She dropped into the new PRS for Music HQ in Kings Cross to celebrate its opening, and while there performed a few tracks for us. Watch a live version of That’s Alright With Me below.
