Jovel's career started to take off while he was studying genetic engineering and took that work ethic into learning to play the guitar - putting in hundreds of hours of practice.

M has been lucky enough to talk to Jovel about getting started, his diverse influences which include Jack White, Alex Turner and Jay-Z, sync deals and how he puts together his incredible genre-defying music.
