Since making the epic trip from Brisbane to Brighton, five-piece Animal House have been specialising in low-budget, high-energy garage pop.
Having drip released a series of singles over the past couple of years the band are now prepping to release their debut long player, Premium Mediocre.
Ahead of the record’s release comes one of tracks from the album, and Modern Romance typifies their knack for punchy tunes laced with a chaotic air.
Animal House’s Will McConchie says: ‘Why does everyone on tinder go to Machu Picchu? You can now pay a guide to accompany you up the famous mountain to take photos of you whilst you hike the mountain. Wedding photographers in Los Angeles are now getting more bookings for dating profiles than weddings. It’s all pretty weird, so is this song.’
