Serocee

Welcome to our latest M playlist. This week we’ve invited dancehall MC, DJ and Toddla T collaborator Serocee to curate a Notting Hill Carnival themed playlist with the famous street festival taking place in West London this Bank Holiday weekend. His selection takes in everything from dancehall to garage and includes a number of upfront cuts from the likes of Stylo G, Wookie, Mark Pritchard and Bounty Killer. Welcome to our latest M playlist, this time showcasing the sounds of Notting Hill Carnival.

The annual street party is the biggest in Europe and takes place in West London on the Sunday and Monday of the August Bank Holiday weekend. Set up in the sixties, the festival is a sprawling celebration of music and culture.

This is the first of two carnival flavoured playlists we’ll be hosting over the weekend and comes from Toddla T collaborator, label owner and inspired dancehall DJ Serocee.

Sero is one of the UK’s most respected players when it comes to reggae and hip hop. He’s one of the busiest men in the game having worked with the likes of Basement Jaxx, MJ Cole, Zed Bias and South Rakkas Crew. He’s also part of the Toddla T Sound alongside Shoala Ama and MC DRS.

If you’re heading down to Notting Hill this weekend, you’ll be able to catch Serocee on the Monday performing at Toddla T’s carnival bash alongside Robbo Ranx, Pipes and Chimpo.

If you're not going, then get stuck into Serocee’s exclusive Notting Hill playlist below…
