Welcome to this week’s playlist curated by London DJ HAAI.

Although HAAI has only been a selector for a few years, she’s already built something of a name for herself in East London, holding down a residency at Dalston’s Ridley Road Market Bar and playing seven hour sets each week.

HAAI is now taking the next move in her career, taking over the resident reigns at Brixton club Phonox from the ace Jasper James. She kick starts this from 8 October and to celebrate she has put together this selection of killers from her party bag ranging from peak time to dreamy end of the night vibes. Check them here…

Oni Ayhun - OAR300B - Another extended beauty. I heard this on a night out a little while ago and it’s been on high rotation in my headphones ever since. It’s 11 minutes of heaven.

Psychemagik - Mink and Shoes (Dub mix) - This was a big one for me the first time I played at Phonox. After the first time I heard it I couldn’t wait to play it in the club. Super chuggy with a great build and super tasteful drop.

Tonja Dantzler - In and Out of My Life - (Dario D’attis remix) - I’ve played this many a time midway through an extended set. It always gives the party (and me) a special boost. a real banger.

Jeancy - From The Sky - The first time I heard this tune I loved it so much I got in touch with the producer to tell him just that. Always a fan of an extended mix, this one builds and builds into a very dream and rewarding peak. Great one to end the night on.

Sascha Braemer - Nature Freak - This is a massive tune. I’m a big Sascha Braemer fan. This one for me has the perfect build and drop. A great peak time track.

Basti Grub - Hinter Den Hecken - I love Basti Grubb. this tune is great for the start of end of a night. Beautifully dreamy.

Riccio - Uhh - I love how uncomplicated this song is for the listener. Great rolling disco feel and a really good one if you need to change the direction of a night.

Mano Le Tough - Energy Flow - (DJ Koze remix) - I have such a soft spot for repetitive choppy vocals. For me this tune hints towards Future feat. inner city (Kenny Larkin tension mix), which is one of my all time favourite tracks and one of my favourite sounds in dance music (nods to Koreless and Basti Grubb).

Krankbrother - Circular Thing - (Hot Since 82 remix) - This is a perfect peak time track. I love playing it slowed right down. It still has the same energy and drive, but even more chuggy.

Raumakustik - Raider - This tune is an absolute weapon. It’s been on many a playlist of mine in recent months. I played it my second time at Phonox and it was wild. Super heavy, but really energetic. One of my favourite tracks this year.
